The Sign in button
Every credential has a button that opens its stand in a new tab. It is called Sign in when Talvedo can sign you in right away, and Site when only the address opens.
When it signs you in
The button signs you in when the credential's environment has a quick sign-in link template and the environment is not production. The template is set by the project lead in the environment form: tick Quick sign-in with the Sign in button and the default template fills in.
Talvedo puts the login, password and token into the link after #. The browser never sends that part to the server, so the values do not end up in server logs or in the Referer header.
Why it says Site
Hover over the button to see the reason. There are two:
- The environment has no template. Ask the project lead to turn quick sign-in on for it.
- The environment is production. Production is closed by default. If your team tests on it, the lead can open it in the danger zone, see Quick sign-in to production.
What your app needs
The stand has to read the values from the link, erase them from the address bar and sign in. Developers will find a ready snippet on the Quick sign-in to stands page. Until the app supports it, the Sign in button opens the stand on its usual sign-in form.
