Workspace and projects

A workspace is your company or team in Talvedo, at an address like talvedo.com/acme. Projects live inside it, and each project has its own issues, sprints, releases and credentials.

Creating a workspace

After the first sign-in Talvedo asks for the name of the company or team and suggests an address. Then it offers two ways: move projects from Jira or start from scratch. You can create one more workspace any time from the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar.

The first project

  • Name and issue key: issues of the "Web platform" project are called WEB-1, WEB-2.
  • How the team works: sprints (Scrum) or a flow (Kanban). For sprints, choose the length: 1, 2 or 3 weeks.

The new project opens on an empty board with three steps: create the first issue, invite the team, move issues from Jira. The block disappears once all three are done, or when you hide it.

More projects

All projects in the sidebar lists every project you can see. New project creates one: name, key, color, visibility, Scrum or Kanban, or a copy of the process of another project.

An open project is visible to every member of the workspace, and anyone can join it. A private one is visible only to its members.
